Customer request was to create a pro-street fleet side show truck. We first start disassembly to establish the drive train requirements. Original frame was altered to fit a pair of 15" X 15" Mickey Thompson tires.
These were added to a narrowed 9" for rear end 4 bar suspension was built to fit this assembly added with coil over shocks.
A 350 small block backup by a Muncie 4 speed to give this truck the stance we needed. Chassis was then painted 1967 Bolero Red Lacquer.
Next came the body changes, first we altered the original wheel wells to the desired width needed. New oak boards were custom fitted to line the inside floor, trimmed in stainless steel.
Doors were fitted with Cadalac power window motors, the door handles were removed and custom mirrors were fitted to top of doors. Inside cab was customized with new gauge cluster, tilt wheel column was installed. An aluminum console was designed to give the appearance of a rolling interior.
Truck was then disassembled and prep for painting. Again with Belaro Red, all fasteners inside engine compartment was specially made of stainless steel. All mounts and brackets were machined of aluminum and polished.
Truck was then custom stripped and assembly was completed. Project was completed after 6 months from start.
Project has won numerous awards including top 50 super chevy.
